The Accounting Administrative Assistant will be working within the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of experience in office administration or experience in accounting administration. They should also have a desire to learn and help others in the team wherever necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform administrative support for the accounting department;
- Assist in maintaining, managing and reconciling records such as financial transactions and remittances with bank accounts and credit card statements;
- Assist the accountants in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable such as organizing payment cycles and handling billing corrections as needed;
- Perform banking support tasks including preparing account balance updates, remote deposit and in-person banking errands as needed;
- Manage expense reporting amongst all company members ensuring reports are completed monthly;
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting administrative projects;
- Various other administrative accounting duties as required including, but not limited to, scanning, filing, emailing, calling, mailing, maintaining the filing system, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- At least a year in administrative work is required;
- Previous experience in accounting administration is an asset;
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications are required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email & phone etiquette, are required;
- Exceptional organizational skill with a keen eye for detail and accuracy;
- Ability to multitask efficiently and possess strong interpersonal skills;
- Trustworthy and a high level of integrity and respect for confidential information.
